I just learned (02/16/2018) of Charlie's passing. Charlie and I were high school buddies and we graduated together. We often walked home together from JHS. Charlie lived on Connecticut St and I lived on Palmer St., we would walk from JHS up Baker St. to Sprague St. (where there was a "mom and pop grocery" and a barber shop), where we would end our walk together. After high school, I went to college, US Army and moved to another state, so we lost touch. How unfortunate. I am sad to learn of Charlie's passing at such a young age. Reading his obituary, I learned we had antiquing in common and probably would have much to talk about. My condolences to his family.

I've known Charlie for many years, going back to the 1960's. I was fortunate that last fall on vacation (I live in Dallas, TX now) I was able to see Charlie, have dinner with him and look back at old times, discuss his health issues, and generally have a wonderful time visiting. He was always on the go as much as he could; and had a good attitude about life. My brother Bruce was much closer to him as a friend having known Charlie since the age of 7, having the identical birthdate, and sharing e-mails (my brother lives in Oregon) on a daily basis. Charlie will be missed.

My deepest sympathies for the loss of one very genuine friend of mine! I am a cluster headache sufferer and met Charlie online years ago. He was my immediate friend, and it was with GREAT pleasure that I got to meet him in Tennesee at a convention years back. I loved hearing about his life, and his family when we chatted online. I will truly miss him. May God embrace us all during our grief.
RIP my friend Charlie!
