I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that Tammy and the Smith family and friends are feeling because of losing Wayne recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; myranj@centurytel.net

My deepest sympathies to your family. Wayne enjoyed coaching so much and the City was lucky to have someone as enthusiastic as he was to be part of the City Rec League. He definitely was a positive part of many kids' lives and demonstrated the true spirit of the game. I will miss him and his dedication to the league.

Never really got a chance to ever tell Wayne what a impact he had on me with sports. Every day a few of us would meet at the park in watts flats when we where younger. We played baseball , football , basketball etc. He was the oldwr guy that was crazy athletic and taught us all a ton. Made me keep active in sports to this very day. This is my 24th year coaching sports and it all started back in that little park in watts flats because of wayne. Rest in peace
