Obituary of Steven K Howie

Steven K. Howie, 75, of 129 Hotchkiss St., passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 25, 1943 in Jamestown, and was the son of the late Eva Howie and Anderson Jones.

Howie was a wonderful, loving and caring man who loved his family deeply. He enjoyed playing cards, parades, fireworks, listening to MoTown music and kicking up some dance moves. He also loved sports, including the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Browns.

Howie will be sadly missed and our memories of him will be forever cherished.

Surviving are four children: Steven (Stacey) Tanner, Stephanie (Lori) Tanner, Stefan Howie, and Stephanie (Donnell) Howie, all of Jamestown; thirteen grandchildren: Kanin, Damon, Trey and Stevie Tanner, Chanel and Zoe Harris, Daja, Natalya, Simeon, Jordan, Sincere and Zayden Howie, and Alex Moon; a brother, Clint (Lynn) Howie of Jamestown; as well as his loving companion, Kathleen Bowman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Kathleen and Howie's infant son, Clayton David Howie; and Howie's two sisters, Rosa Mae Allen and Darlea J. Howie.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Hubert Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, for two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
