i want to leave this condolance for all of Pokies family but more spacifically Brandon and Arron. I want to share some memories i have of Pokie. I am sure that Brandon and Aron probably just know that i have always been their moms friend that led to their friendship w Jason and Chris. You dont know how your mom and I met. Your mom was singing w Daystar at church. I was only 12. Your mom asked me if i would walk to the store with her. When we arrived back to church, i asked your mom her age. She told me she was 16. I thought not only was she pretty in her dress and heals and a singer but she was so cool bcuz she was 16. I began following your mom around. Your mom began looking out for me like a big sister. I spent nights with her in her first apartment. She let me use her beauty products. She painted my nails. I spent a lot of nights at your grandparents house w your mom. I remember a couple nights that stand out. I remember sitting around the fire w your mom, grandpa and grandma. Your grandma made the best corn beaf hash. Your mom was singing. The next day we played freeze tag outside in the sun. I can remember having so much fun and laughing so hard. I stayed over on a Saterday night to go to church the next morning in the winter. Your moms car didnt have a heater. We woke up late, made eggs and toast and took it with us. We scrapped the windshield all the way to church. We never ate breakfast because our eggs froze in the car. I remember your mom playing the pianco and singing a song she wrote for me to see if i liked it. Your mom loved to sing. I was walking one day by a church she was attending. It was summer. The door was open. I could hear your mom practicing. I stopped to listen. I stayed there and must have forgot where I was going. Ill never forget skipping Sunday School together and going for breakfast at Matia"s. I will nrver forget going out to the resteraunt with her and everyone else after church. I was brought home one time by her and the other members of Daystar. I can remember they began to sing in the car and felt so lucky. Our lives wiyod drift apart sometimes bcuz that is how life is. We always shared the same loving friendship when we came back together. I think that is hoe every one of your mothers friends feell. We shared raising boys at the same time. Your mom was the first to everything I thought was so cool. That includes having a baby, Aron. I remember her holding you, feeding you when you was a newborn. I remember you both when you were just babies. Your mom was very loving beautiful and talented. I think everyone that became close to your mom would only have beautiful memories of her and both of you two in their lives.
