William R. Simpson, 79, of Busti, passed away at 8:48 p.m. Friday (March 17, 2017) at his residence. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 30, 1937 the son of Sidney and Mary Sayers Simpson. Bill was employed as a Regional Sales Manager for Sauer Danfoss Inc. from 1978 to 2009. He was a member of the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he served as an elder. He served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Bill is survived by his wife, Nellie Brown Simpson, who he married on November 18, 1981 in Tulsa, OK, his children, Robin (Randy) Pack and David (Candice) Webb, Lakeland, FL, Michael (Wanda) Webb, Dublin, GA and Larry (Candace) Webb, Franklin, GA, six granddaughters and thirteen great grandchildren, a brother, Richard Simpson, Youngstown, OH, three sisters, Mary Jean Bellmore, Lewiston, NY, Marjorie (Danny) Flaim, Grand Island, NY and Bonnie (Joseph) Cendella Newfane, NY. He was preceded in death by a son, David Simpson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Tom L. Johnson, will officiate.
