Vivian I. Grey Hale, 100, of Cheneys Point, Ashville, died at 1:28 p.m. Sunday (February 1, 2015) peacefully with her family at her side. She was born on July 23, 1914 in Falconer the daughter of Samuel and Florence Grover Grey. Vivian was a graduate of Randolph Central School and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Vivian will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and loved to play games & cards with them. She enjoyed baking and loved to work in her flower gardens with her husband. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Dan) Larson, Cheneys Point, two grandsons, Michael (Janice) Larson, Jamestown and Steven (Mindy) Larson, Lakewood, two great granddaughters, Lauren Larson, Fredonia and Nicole Larson, Jamestown, two great grandsons, Logan Larson, Gainesville, Fl. and Alexander Larson, Jamestown, a brother Samuel (Dorothy) Grey, Cattaragus, N.Y., two sisters, Bernice (Bob) Blackman, Rochester, N.Y. and Shirley (Howard) Cullon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Hale, whom she married on February 14, 1935 in Randolph. They celebrated their seventy-first wedding anniversary on February 14, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Scott Larson at birth, three sisters, Lucille Rockwell, Beatrice Hotchkiss and Emma Conner and by three brothers, Paul, William & Robert Grey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. John L. Kuhlmann, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery, Randolph, N.Y. Visitation will not be observed. Memorials may be made to St .James Catholic Church. 27 Allen St., Jamestown, N.Y.
