Obituary of Irene Edith Morton

Irene Edith Morton, 93, of Jamestown, died at noon Monday (November 14, 2016) at Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing. She was born in Salamanca, N.Y. on July 25, 1923 the daughter of Ralph and Anna Bilby Burnside. Irene was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Salamanca School District. She is survived by a son, David J. (Dawn) Morton and a daughter, Debra L. Morton. Also surviving are four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Morton and a son Robert Morton Jr and a sister, Patricia Weimer. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Rev. Tim Phelps, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate.
