Obituary of Kristian D. Piazza

Kristian D. Piazza, 16, of Buffalo,N.Y., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y. was shot and killed in Buffalo in an act of senseless violence on Thursday (October 13, 2016) He was born in Jamestown on October 20, 1999 the son of Kristie L. Piazza, Buffalo and Dwight Leeper, Mayville. Kristian was a junior and was currently in the Advanced Manufacturing Program at Burgard Vocational High School in Buffalo, where he was studying to be a welder. He was an outstanding athlete in baseball, basketball and soccer and was currently on the Burgard Bulldogs Football Team. He was employed as a cashier at Wegmans, where he was a dedicated employee and was recently accepted into Alfred State College following his graduation next year. He was and still is very loved and will be dearly missed. Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Keelyn Piazza, Jamestown and Kadence Piazza, Buffalo, three brothers, Trayce and Trysten Eggleston and Tyresse Thompson, Jamestown, maternal grandparents, Donald and Kathleen Piazza, Jamestown, paternal grandfather, Michael Young, Atlanta, Ga., paternal grandmother, Barbara Garland, Charlotte N.C., two uncles, Monte Milton and Vincent Hodnett of Charlotte, N.C., two aunts, Diana Ward, Frewsburg and Sylvia Garland, Charlotte, N.C.. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Healing Word Ministries. The Bishop Leecfoft Clarke, Senior Pastor, will officiate. I met Kristian about a year and a half ago. Such a vibrant, out going gentleman. I had the pleasure of seeing Kristian weekly when he was doing odd jobs for me. He kept me informed on how he was doing at school, work, football and his desire go to college when he graduated. Unbelievably focused on obtaining his goals.
