Obituary of Mary Lucca Caprino

Mary Lucca Caprino, 94, of Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing, died at 12:40 am Wednesday (August 17, 2016) in the nursing facility.
She was born in Jamestown on April 11, 1922 the daughter of Angelo and Illuminata Micale Lucca.
Mary was the owner & operator with her husband, Joseph of Caprino’s Complete Home Furnishings. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles St. John Catholic Church.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, patience and sweet smile. She was a devoted caregiver to her handicapped son, Anthony and a tireless partner in business with her husband. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter, always attentive to the needs of her family. She loved reading, crocheting and following Mother Angelica with her rosary.
Surviving are her two daughters, Mary Ann (Philip) Zimmer and Jeanette Ostrom, Jamestown. Her grandchildren, Paul (Suzan) Cardinale, Frewsburg, David Zimmer, Jeanine Zimmer (Chuck) Carlson, Bemus Point. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Caprino whom she married on February 12, 1946 in St. James Catholic Church and who died on October 15, 2000 and by a son
Anthony Caprino, who died on December 28, 2004 and by two sisters, Nuncia Micciche and Concetta Barone and by five brothers, Alfred, Anthony, James, Nunzio and Salvatore Lucca.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday in Holy Apostles St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Mende, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Entombment will be in Holy sepulcher Mausoleum.
The family will received friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 5:45 p.m.
