Obituary of David L. Furlow

David L. Furlow, 73, of the Hotel Jamestown, died Thursday (January 7, 2016) at his residence.
He was born in Jamestown on February 2, 1942 the son of the late Richard A. and Jeanette Preston Furlow.
David was a 1960 graduate of Panama Central High School where he served as class treasurer and was president of the Watts Flats Rifle Club. He was employed locally as a baker. He also served in the US Marine Corps.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Being surrounded by nature was his favorite activity. When walking became difficult, he would ride his lawn tractor into the woods and enjoy nature. David loved to attend the Furlow reunions and he served as their treasure for many years.
David is survived by two sisters, Pauline (Skip) Edsall, Panama and Regina (Lloyd) Weatherbee, Ashville and a brother, Rick (Dorothy) Furlow, Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick C. Furlow, who died in 1991.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, South Newstead Rd., Akron, N.Y.
