Obituary of Anthonene McNamara

Anthonene McNamara, 95, of 72 West Virginia Blvd., Jamestown, died at 8:52 p.m. Thursday (December 2, 2010) at her residence. She was born in Altoona, Pa. on December 30, 1914 the daughter of Herbert and Ella Carlson. Toni was a self employed accountant having worked for Lucille House of Aluminum Contracting for forty years and also worked at the former answering service at Professional Communication for eleven years. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles (SS Peter & Paul) Catholic Church and sang in the choir. She served with the US Navy during WWII. Toni is survived by a daughter Kathleen McNamara aka Sister Katie OCSO of Mt. St. Marys Abbey, Wrentham, Mass, two sons Michael J. McNamara and Kevin Philip McNamara, Jamestown, six grandchildren Todd McNamara, Hong Kong, Amy Slayton, Rochester, N.Y., Philip McNamara, Camden, N.C., Patrick McNamara, Casper, Wy., Tabitah McNamara, Enid, Ok. and Jonathan McNamara, Richmond, Ky., four great grandchildren Elyse & Erin Slayton, Rochester, N.Y., James Michael McNamara, Richmond, Ky. and Giannella McNamara, Camden, N.C.. She was preceded in death by her husband John McNamara whom she married on April 29, 1941 in Altoona, Pa. and who died on October 28, 1990 and by a sister Lillian Rorabough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Holy Apostles (SS Peter & Paul) Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Mende, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services where a Chriatin Wake Service will be held at 1:45 p.m..
