Antoinette Aregano Arnone, 103, of 106 Howard St., Jamestown, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing.
She was born on July 4, 1907 in Auburn, N.Y. the daughter of Nicholas and Marie Lobisco Aregano.
Antoinette was employed at Jamestown Worsted Mills, A & P Grocery Store, Blystone Mattress Co.and Jamestown Mattress Co.. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and was active with the St. Joseph Table and the summer festival. She was also a member of the Marco Polo Club Auxiliary.
Antoinette was an avid gardener, seamstress and cook. She loved to travel, especially to her granddaughters home in Cailfornia which she did up until she was ninety-nine years old.
Antoinette is survived by her son in law, Frank Dominico, Jamestown, five grandchildren, John (Janet) Dominico, Monroe, N.C., Frank Dominico Jr., Jamestown, Samuel (Kari) Dominico, Winston-Salem, N.C., Annette (Dave) Helman, Dove Canyon, Ca. and Kenneth Tumminia, Lincoln City, Or., seven great grandchildren Janelle (Billy) Birt, Jamestown, Benjamin & Joshua Dominico, Winston-Salem, N.C., David Helman II, Dove Canyon, Ca., Shelly Assencao, Indian Trails, N.C., Greg (Adrianna) Dominico, Gastonia, N.C. and Shannon (Brian) Zelinka, Salem, Or., seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Arnone whom she married on January 17, 1928 in Auburn, N.Y. and who died on September 21, 1987 and by two daughters Frances Tumminia and Marie Dominico
A Mass of Christian Burial will be elebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services where an Altar & Rosary Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service will be held at 3:30 P.M.
