Obituary of Richard A. Pacitti

Richard A. Pacitti, 71, of 2739 Butts Road, Ashville, N.Y., died at 2:55 p.m. Saturday (July 31, 2010) in the WCA Hospital. He was born in Jamestown on February 14, 1939 the son of the late Sabatine and Helen Dangelo Pacitti. Rich was a 1957 graduate of Jamestown High School and was the owner and operator on the Towne Barbers for twenty-four years and a former co-owner of Jamestown PreCast for six years. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church where he served as an Eucharistic minister and was involved with Our Daily Bread, taking communion to people who were unable to go to church. Rich also served for seven years in the U.S. Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife Donna Underwood Pacitti whom he married on July 14, 1984 in Jamestown, five children Richard (Debra) Pacitti, Frewsburg, Steven Pacitti, LasVegas, NV. and Christopher (Triffy) Pacitti, Fayetteville, Ga., Gary (Elizabeth) Glazer, Rochester and Renay (Dave) Manley, Limestone, N.Y., seven grandchildren Renae and Elise Pacitti, Frewsburg, Sydney Pacitti, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jeremy and Mikayala Glazer, Rochester, Dylan and Aaron Manley, Limestone, N.Y., a great granddaughter Alexandra Helen Waid, Frewsburg and a brother David Pacitti, Jamestown.He is also survived by his dog Dutchess, who was his faithful companion for fourteen years. He was preceded in death by a sister Diana Pacitti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. James R.C. Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.. Memorials may be made to St. James Music Ministry, 27 Allen St., Jamestown, or to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Inc., P.O. Box 9026, Pittsfield, Ma. 01202.
