Joseph B. DeTally, 72, of Palm Springs, California, formerly of Jamestown, died Saturday (June 5, 2010) in Palm Springs. He was born in Jamestown, N.Y. on December 15, 1937 the son of the late Marion and Anna Vullo DeTally. Joe was a graduate of Jamestown High School and Niagara University with a B.S.Degree in accounting. He had a long career as a Public Accountant, both in Ohio and California. His life included many wonderful remembrances of his extended family in Jamestown, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Buffalo and Rochester. Surviving are his children Anna Marie Zappola, Joseph M. DeTally and Dina Jones, all of Cleveland, Ohio, five grandchildren, his brother and sister-in-law Willam A. DeTally and Esther Bradley-DeTally, Pasadena, Ca.. Particular mention and gratitude from the family is to his best friend Sue Dart, who rendered assistance and solace during his life and the days following his death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services where a Christain Wake Service will be held at 4:00 p.m..
