Elsa B. Cromer, 87, 7 Robertson Drive, Youngsville, died May 17, 2010, at Warren General Hospital. She was born March, 2, 1923, in Mecklinburgh, Germany, a daughter of the late Arno and Berta (Schwalm) Witzorreck. She and her family moved to Millvale, Pa. when she was 3 years old. Mrs. Cromer graduated from Millvale High School in 1941 and worked at the E.T. Lippert Saw Co. in Millvale for 18 years. She Moved to Miami, Florida in 1959 where she met and eventually married Everett John (Johnny) Cromer. They lived in Hialeah, Florida until 1987 when they returned and settled in Youngsville, where Johnny died in 1988. She was also an accomplished local poet, having had a book of poetry published. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, William A. and Otto R. Witzorreck, and two sisters-in-law, Helen E. and Irene A. Witzorreck. Surviving are 4 nieces and 2 nephews and several great nieces and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Memorial donations may be made to The First Church of Christ, 425 North Millvale, Pa., 15209. The Hubert-Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 314 North Main Street, Youngsville, Pa. is in charge of arrangements.
