Geraldine Chapman Nyquist, 84, of the Rouse Home, formerly of RD #1 Pittsfield, died at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in the nursing facility.
She was born on March 18, 1926 in Panama, New York, the daughter of Rush and Jessie Chapman. She had been employed as a waitress at the former Lonnie's Dinner Bell in Youngsille, PA for over five years.
Geraldine is survived by her son Mark (Cindy) Nyquist and a daughter Deborah A. Nyquist, Youngsville, three grandchildren Tim (Lindsay) Nyquist , Todd R. Nyquist, Youngsville, Tammi (Kevin) Shippee, Pittsfield, two great-granddaughters, Alexis Nyquist and Kate Shippee, and a great-grandson, Tommy Nyquist, a brother, Rush (Nina) Chapman, Lottsville, three sisters, Mildred Beavers, N.C., Pauline (Keith) Hannold, Lottsville, and Arlene (Wilbur) Lookenhouse, Sugar Grove, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Twisty" Nyquist whom she married on March 11, 1946 in Youngsville, and who died on February 19, 2000, and by two brothers Charles and Harold Chapman, and two sisters Marjorie Smouse and Mable Nelson.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, April 30, 2010, in the Hubert-Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., Youngsville. The Rev. Rick Hamrick, Pastor of the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Youngsville Cemetery.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.
