Obituary of Richard Cline Huling

Richard Cline Huling, 85, a resident of the Rouse Warren County Home in Youngsville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April, 24, 2010.
He was born on January 28, 1925, the son of the late Napoleon (Nip) and Clara (Brezell) Huling of Irvine, Pa. He was a resident of Irvine for most of his life. He attended Irvine Elementary School and Youngsville High School. He was employed by Raymond's Co, Corry, Pa then Glenn L Martin Aircraft Co., Baltimore, MD where he worked as a final assembler in Hydraulics on B-26 bombers.
He volunteered for the Army where he received training in aircraft engine repair and then served in India and Pakistan as part of the 14th Air Corps. He then enlisted in the US Air Force and served in Agra, India in 1945, Austria and Germany and was discharged in 1948. He worked for the Pennsylvania RR until 1950 when he was called back into the Air force Reserves.
After the service, he was employed and retired from the National Forge Company in Irvine, Pa after 34 years and 8 months. After retirement from the Forge, he worked for the Youngsville Cemetery Assoc.. He was a life member of the China-Burma-India Veteran’s Association and The National Rifle Assoc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carmen Lucille Hendrickson whom he married on June 23, 1950; a sister Helen Huling Nichols, Florida, and a brother Napoleon Huling, Erie, Pa
Surviving are Gloria J. Huling whom he married on July 2, 1998;two sons Nord (Cindy) Huling, Pittsfield and Lars (Brenda) Huling, Irvine, a daughter Becky Hannold, Lexington, N.C., three step children, Jeff Baker, Warren, Kathy (Travis) Walsh, Russell, Karen Flannery, Bear Lake, two foster children, Jackie Kolb and William Palmer, and nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 at the Hubert-Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 314 North Main St., Youngsville, and one hour prior to a funeral service that will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Rick Hamrick, Pastor, and the Rev. Marcus Briggs, Chaplain of the Rouse Warren County Home, co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Youngsville Cemetery.
