Wesley G. Devine Wesley G. Devine, 68, of 1567 Wellman Rd., Ashville, died at 1:34 p.m. Sunday (October 9, 2011) at his residence after a courageous five year battle with cancer. He was born in Jamestown on June 1, 1943 the son of Carmella Seth. Wesley was employed at Cummins Engine as a tester for ten years, retiring due to a disability. He was previously employed as a body man for several area garages. He was a member of Street Machines Unlimited Car Club in Corry. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He restored numerous cars and trucks over the years and had owned over 115 vehicles during his lifetime. For years he enjoyed camping, especially yearly trips to Watkins Glen and he always enjoyed a good campfire. Wesley took great pride in building cars for his two sons. The knowledge and skills they learned from him over the years will not be forgotten. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. Wesley was always willing to lend a hand to anyone needing his help. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his two kitty's Corey & Abby. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Sue Burnett Devine, whom he married on May 9, 1964 in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, two sons, David H. Devine, Sherman, N.Y. and John (Karen) Devine, Ashville, N.Y. and a brother Donald (Joyce) Devine, Jamestown, three grandchildren Taylor C. Gulnac, Crouse, N.C., Nicholas W. Devine, Sherman, N.Y. and Lilly M. Devine, Ashville, N.Y., a step granddaughter, Krystyna Parenti, Jamestown. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (October 23, 2011) at the family home. Please bring your fondest memories and funny stories.
