Joseph J. Tuccio Joseph J. Tuccio, 86, of the Frewsburg Rest Home, formerly of Eagle St., Jamestown, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday (July 10, 2011) in the WCA Hospital. He was born in Jamestown on March 22, 1925 the son of James and Carmella Russo Tuccio. Joe was a 1943 graduate of Jamestown High School and a graduate of Jamestown Business College. He was a letter carrier for the Jamestown Postal Office for twenty five years, retiring in 1985 and in earlier years, he was employed at Dahlstrom Mfg. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, War Vets and a lifetime member of the VFW Post#53. Joe served with the US Navy during WWII and earned the American Theatre, Victory and Asiatic Pacific Medals. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Joe loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to golf at Conewango Country Club and was an avid bowler. He is survived by a son, James J. (Sharon) Tuccio, York, Pa., five grandchildren, Todd J. Tuccio, Syracuse, James J. Tuccio II, Lebanon, Pa., Jessica T. (Giordano) Battellani, Philadelphia, Pa., Kristi Dorsey, Pittsburgh, Pa. and Nicolaus Miller, York, Pa., five great grandchildren, Guisseppe, Matthew and Taylor Tuccio, Lebanon, Pa., Alexander and Maximillan Cherest, Syracuse, N.Y.., a brother, Anthony (Julia) Tuccio, Jamestown and a sister, Josephine (Russell) Conti, Falconer, N.Y., three sister in laws, Frances and Janet Trussalo and Antoinette Tuccio, Jamestown. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Angeline "Angie" Trussalo Tuccio whom he married on November 9, 1946 in St. James Catholic Church and who died on December 20, 1997 and by a brother Louis Tuccio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 PM.
