Richard "Dick" T. Mancari
Richard "Dick" T. Mancari, 82, of 225 Chautauqua Ave., Jamestown, died at 4:25 a.m. Monday (May 2, 2011) in Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing Home.
He was born in Jamestown on October 28, 1928 the son of Samuel and Josephine Bellomo Mancari.
Dick was the owner and operator with his wife Pat of the Clair Vi Shop in the Southside Plaza for several years. He was previously employed as a foreman at Chase Interior for fifteen years and was also employed at Artistic Cabinets.
He served with the US Army from 1950 to 1952. Dick was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church and a former member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Boys & Girls Club.
He is survived by his wife Patrina "Pat" Lovecchio Mancari , whom he married on May 1, 1954 and by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Richard "Richie" T. Mancari, who died on July 22, 1997 and by three brothers Sebastian, Joseph & Samuel Mancari.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph P. Janaczek, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services. A Christian Wake service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
