Charles F. Heppler, 67, of Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing, died at 2:40 a.m. Friday (March 4, 2011) in the WCA Hospital. He was born in Bloomsburg, Pa. on April 15, 1943 the son of Charles F. Heppler and Bettie Heppler Coughlin. Charlie moved from Long Island to Jamestown in 1976 and worked for several factories including Bush Industries, Chase Interiors and Maddox Table Co. and retired due to poor health. He loved bowling, watching the former Jamestown Jammers, attending programs at Chautauqua and watching his nephews play sports. A kind and simple man, he will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by a brother Tracey (Linda) Heppler, Jamestown, a sister Susan (Bruce) Moran, Lakewood, nephews and nieces Brett (Alissa) Heppler,Northwood,NH, Jesse (Jill) Heppler, Lakewood, Kyle and Katelyn Moran, Lakewood, and great nieces and nephews Brendan, Evelyn and Emma Heppler, Northwood, N.H. and Ethan Heppler, Lakewood. A private family service will be held at the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Michelle Buhite, Chaplain of the Jamestown Unitarian Church, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, Ma. 02241-7005.
