Steven R. Barber, 59, of 400 Lincoln St., Jamestown, died at 11:58 a.m. Sunday (November 11, 2012) in the WCA Hospital. He was born in Jamestown on June 26, 1953 the son of Mamie Arcadipane Barber of Jamestown and the late Ross Barber, who died on November 4, 1992. Steve was employed in the shipping department at Blair Corporation for three years and was previously employed as a mechanic for Shults Auto Group for twenty years and also at the former Volkswagon garage. He was a communicant of Holy Apostles SSPeter & Paul Catholic Church and a social member of the AmVets. Besides his mother, he is survived by a son, Justin M. Barber and a foster son, James R. Rowley, Jr., both of Conewango Valley,and a brother, Joseph M. Barber, Waverly, N.Y.. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services. The Rev. Dennis Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
