Grace DiStefano Peterson, 90, of 61 East Cowden Place, Jamestown, died at 12:01 p.m. Sunday (June 17, 2012) at her residence. She was born in Jamestown on April 30, 1922 the daughter of Natale and Sebastiana Rosella DiStefano. Grace was a 1940 graduate of Jamestown High School and was emplyed as a teller at the former Marine Midland Bank for thirty seven years, retiring in 1983, She was a member of the American Legion Henry Mosher Post #638 Auxiliary and the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Auxiliary. She is survived by two brothers, Natale "Nate" DiStefano, Jamestown and Sebastian DiStefano, Gautier, Mississippi, two sisters, Carmela Ditonto and Josephine Zembardo, Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Peterson, whom she married on October 12, 1974 and who died on June 17, 2011 and by a brother, Frank DiStefano. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor of St. James Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be receivedJune 19, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
