​Anthony J. Paterniti, 69, of Jamestown, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday (May 1, 2016) at his residence. He was born in Jamestown on March 7, 1947 the son of Jennie Armeli Paterniti, Jamestown and the late Joseph Paterniti. Anthony was a machinist at Crawford Furniture for over twenty five years. He served in the US Air Force from 1967 to1971 and was stationed in Thailand. Anthony was a member of the American Legion Herman Kent Post #777 and was the Sgt. at Arms and a member of the executive board. Besides his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Melissa Paterniti, Texas, two brothers, Ross (Patricia) and Michael (Kathern) Paterniti, Jamestown, a sister, Michele (Ken) Westphal, Jamestown. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A private family graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
