Ruth Leichtenberger Kosinski Ruth Leichtenberger Kosinski, 91, of 505 West Seventh St., Jamestown, N.Y. died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday (February 1, 2012) in the WCA Hospital. She was born in Mayberg, Pa. on March 12, 1920 the daughter of August and Frances Blauser Leichtenberger. Ruth was a 1938 graduate of Sheffield High School and was employed as a seamstress at the former Jones Shirt Factory, Kane, Pa.. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and the Mother's Club. Ruth was well kanow for all the sewing she did for her family and the church. She is survived by a son, Thomas (Patsy) Kosinski, Lakewood, N.Y., three daughters, Carol Riniolo, North Tonawanda, Sallie (Carl) Sandstrom and Ann Thorpe, Jamestown, nine grandchildren Mikael (Jodell) Kosinski, Ashville, N.Y., Ted (Sheela) Kosinski, Lakewood, N.Y., Amy (Chase) Windoft, Lakewood, N.Y., C. Andrew (Tina) Sandstrom, Jamestown, Joseph Sandstrom, Burbank, Ca., Todd (Angela) Riniolo, Grand Island, N.Y., Norah Riniolo, North Tonawanda, N.Y., Betsy (Rob) McCullough, Hot Springs, Ak. and Steven Thorpe, Jamestown, thirteen great grandchildren, a brother, Carl (Barbara) Leichtenberger, Barnes, Pa., three sisters, Marguerite (James) Black, Youngsville, Mary Moore, Jamestown and Elaine Baylon, Lantz Corners, Pa.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kosinski whom she married on May 3, 1941 in St. Clara's Catholic Church, Clarendon, Pa. and who died on April 4, 1993 and by two grandsons Brian and Mark Riniolo, five brothers, Leroy, William, Albert, Buster and Frank Leichtenberger, two sisters Irene Zock and Lucy Mahan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Holy Apostles SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Mende will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday, February 2, from 1:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services where a Christain Wake Service will be held at 12:45 p.m.. An Altar & Rosary Society Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua Co. Inc, 20 West Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, N.Y. 14750 or to Holy Apostles SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 508 Cherry St., Jamestown, N.Y. 14701.
