Obituary of Douglas D. Langworthy

Douglas D. Langworthy, 79, of 110 Church St., Jamestown, died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday ( October 19, 2013) in the WCA Hospital.
He was born in Jamestown on February 28, 1934 the son of
William and Irene Abers Langworthy.
Doug was employed as a precision machine operator at SKF for
thirty eight years. He was previously employed at Lake View
Cemetery and Jamestown Burial Vault.
He served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958 and was a member of
the American Legion Herman Kent Post #777.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Langworthy, Toyko, Japan and Randy Langworthy, Jamestown, two daughters, Linda (Roger)
Steinruck, Palm Harbor, Fl. and Kelly Webber, Jamestown, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Belcher Langworthy, whom he married on March 12, 1955 in Jamestown and who died on
December 5, 2009 and by an infant son, Brian Langworthy and two brothers, Raymond and William Langworthy.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday in
the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. Frank Snyder, Ordained Independent Minister, will officiate.
Burial will be in Lake View
Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
in the funeral home.
