Barry Alan Carlson, 57, of 127 Maple St., Jamestown, died at 10:52 a.m. Monday (April 8, 2013) at his residence. He was born in Jamestown on December 2, 1955 the son of Barbara Gardner Carlson, Jamestown and the late Norman Carlson. Barry was employed with Labors Local #600 and had also worked construction for private contractors. He loved sports and was passionate for his favorite teams, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, LA Dodgers and the LA Lakers. He loved children, especially giving them nicknames and he had a special love for Amelia "Meeber or Goober" Dolce and Christian "The Tool or Filegar" Dolce. He is survived by his wife, Roseann Caruso Carlson whom he married on June 10, 1995 in St. James Catholic Church, a brother, Jeffrey S. Carlson and a sister, Karlene Martella, Tx., two nephews, Jeffrey A. Carlson (whom he loved as a son), Celoron, and Dustin Carlson, Tx., three nieces, Sondra Carlson, Rochester, N.Y., Kristyn Bango, Warren, Pa. and Morgan Carlson, Tx., a great nephew and two great nieces, his father and mother in law, Jack and Ann Caruso, Jamestown. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Alvin Gustafson. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will officiate.
