Obituary of Roy Lewis Warner

Roy Lewis Warner, Sr., 75, of the Chautauqua County Home, formerly of Grant St., Jamestown, died Tuesday (February 12, 2013) in the home. He was born in Ripley, N.Y. on February 21, 1937 the son of Albert and Pearl Lewis Warner. Roy was employed as a truck driver for Midwest Transit, delivering mail for over five years. He previously was employed as a laborer and had worked on the Veterans Bridge across Chautauqua Lake and in earlier years he was a farmer and worked in Ripley, Clymer, Mayville and Cassadaga. He is survived by his wife, Alberta King Warner, whom he married on October 12, 1957, three sons, Roy (Lori) Warner, Cleveland, Oh., Robert (Kerry) Warner, Jamestown and Edward (Kim) Warner, Ellery Center, a daughter, Alverta Monagle, Jamestown, ten grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Julie, James & Douglas Monagle, Jamestown, Matthew, Christopher, Mary and Joseph Warner, Ohio, Cassie Chapan and Tessa Warner, Ellery Center, several great-grandchildren, three brothers, Clifford Warner, Hartfield, N.Y., George Warner, Florida and Albert "Junior" Warner, Mayville, N.Y., two sisters, Sharon Cobb, Stockton, N.Y. and Phyllis Newman, Mayville, N.Y. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Milo, Charles, Harold and Gordon Warner and by a sister, Bessie Jamison. The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. William Blair, Pastor of New Creation Assembly of God Church, will officiate.
