Obituary of Jennie Lovecchio Morreale

Jennie Lovecchio Morreale, 91, of Hultquist Place, formerly of Crane Street, Jamestown, NY, died at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday December 23, 2014 in the WCA Hospital. Jennie was born in Jamestown on May 1, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Mordino Lovecchio. Jennie, a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister, loved cooking, her church, music and most of all, family. She led a full life taking care of her loved ones. She was co-owner and sales clerk at the former Clair Vi Shop. In earlier years, she was employed as a riveter at Curtis Wright Airplane in Buffalo and Art Metal, where she met her husband of 67 years. She was a communicant of Holy Apostles St. John Catholic Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer for the annual St. Joseph Table and the summer festival. Jennie is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Morreale, Reston, VA, five grandchildren, Nichole Abbasi, Reston, VA, David Hodges, Denver, CO, Michelle Anderson, Michael and John Morreale, Frewsburg, NY, ten great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Ann (Carl) Rainer and Petrina Mancari, Jamestown, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Morreale, whom she married on September 29, 1945 in St. John Catholic Church and who died on March 10, 2012, their son, Marcy Morreale, and her brother, Thomas Lovecchio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Holy Apostles St. John Catholic Church. The Rev. Dennis Mende, pastor, will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Friends will be received on Saturday, December 27th, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m .in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
