Carrie Baglia Moretti, 88, of 452 Hazzard St., Jamestown, died at 4:26 a.m. Monday (June 2, 2014) at UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa. She was born in Jamestown on July 29, 1925 the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Bordenga Baglia. Carrie was employed at National Worsted Mills, JC Murphy and in the snack shop at WCA Hospital. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Carrie enjoyed playing bingo in Salamanca and watching the NY Yankees. She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Moretti, Jamestown, daughter in law, Mary Gritzmacher Moretti, Cranston, R.I., two sister’s in laws, Connie Storms, Jamestown and Lou Moretti, Williamsville, N.Y., brother in law, Busty Guiffrida, Jamestown and an aunt, Mary Lovecchio, Jamestown. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Moretti who died in 1997 and by a son, Alfred J. Moretti who died on May 15, 2014 in Cranston, R.I., three brothers, Joe, John & Sam Baglia and a sister, Mary Guiffrida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation services where a Christian Wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m. You may send condolences to the family by visiting www.hubertfuneralhome.com.
