Obituary of Peter A. Morgante

Peter A. Morgante, 84, of 134 Euclid Ave., Jamestown, died at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday (March 4, 2014) at his residence. He was born in Jamestown on January 12, 1930 the son of Samuel and Mary Trunzo Morgante. Peter was the owner and operator of Dental Arts Laboratory for forty five years. In earlier years he was involved in Little League baseball. He enjoyed playing cards and loved to talk politics to anyone who would listen. He also attended Bible class at St. James Catholic Church He is survived by a son, Peter (Maura) Morgante and a daughter, Lynn (Ted) Halpainy, six grandchildren, Jason Halpainy, Peter (Shannon) Morgante, Patrick Andrew Morgante, Molly Shea Morgante and John Griffin Morgante, all of Jamestown and Michael (Jamie) Halpainy, three great grandchildren,Megan & Lauren Morgante, Jamestown and Kallen Halpainy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Lauria Morgante whom he married on April 6, 1950 and who died on May 1, 1995 and by a brother, Charles Morgante. A private family service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Deacon Samuel Pellerito of Holy Apostles (SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church) will officiate. Visitation will not be observed.
