Marilyn Noto Foti, 73, of 16 Axtel st., Jamestown, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday (January 26, 2014 in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Dunkirk on March 31, 1940 the daughter of James and Sarah Guida Noto. Marilyn was a 1958 graduate of Dunkirk High School and was employed at Millbrook for seven years. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, especially visits to Las Vegas to visit “Uncle Albert”, which was one of her favorite vacations. She never missed any of her son’s college football games and also enjoyed driving to Syracuse to see her beloved grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Thomas J. Foti, whom she married on October 24, 1959 in Dunkirk, a son, Gary (Michelle) Foti, Syracuse and by her grandchildren, Peter Foti, Gainesville, Fl. and Jordan Foti, Syracuse, a sister, Judi Mucklin, Milwaukee, Wisc.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a Christian Wake service will be held at 6:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, P.O. 5018, Hagerstown, MD. 21741-5018 You can send a condolence to the family by visiting www.hubertfuneralhome.com.
