Obituary of Ruby K. Harper

Ruby K. Harper, age 79, of Jamestown, formerly of Falconer, passed away Monday November 30, 2015 at Heritage Park Rehab. & Skilled Nursing. She was born in Brookville, PA on July 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Clayton and Orpha (Mauk) Himes. Ruby loved spending time with her family. Her past interests included cooking and baking, and watching her favorite shows. Ruby is survived by her son, Gary (Carol) Martz of Jamestown; daughters: Terri Engblom of Jamestown, Patty (Charles) VanGuilder of Falconer, and Tammy Harper of Jamestown; grandchildren: Lisa (James) Bryan of Jamestown, Chad Schuler of Jamestown, Charles VanGuilder, Jr. of Celeron, Jamie VanGuilder of Falconer, Amanda Martz of Jamestown, Matthew Harper of Jamestown, Andrew Harper of Jamestown, and Aaron Harper of Jamestown; 9 great-grandchildren; her brother, Junior (Cathy) Himes of Summerville, PA; stepson, Ray Harper of Jamestown; and stepdaughters, Sherry Triadwell of Parkersburg, West VA and Shelia Lipscomb of West Union, West VA. Ruby was predeceased by her 2nd husband, Edward Harper, an infant son, Donald E. Himes, granddaughter, Christine VanGuilder, and stepson Richard Harper. A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday December 5th at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Rev. Cathy Smith will officiate. Friends will be received two hours prior.
