Obituary of Mary L. Silas

Mary L. Silas, 82, of Heritage Park Rehab & Skilled Nursing, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (June 14, 2015) in the nursing facility. She was born in Versailles, N.Y. on January 4, 1933 the daughter of Irving and Nettie John Silas. In earlier years, she worked as a nurses aide in Buffalo. Mary was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed giving of herself. She is survived by a daughter Beverly (Robert) Campbell Sr., Jamestown, two sons, Wayne Bunge, Jamestown and Jeffrey Steves, Cattaragus, N.Y., six grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Cody, Shayne Mason, Robert Campbell, Jr. all of Jamestown and Sarah Campbell, Stockton, N.Y., three great grandchildren, Owen, Avery & Sophia Mason, Jamestown. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Irving “Sonny” Silas, Jr. and Leo Silas and by two sisters, Arianna Phillips and Genevieve Suganuma. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Allen Myers, Elder of the Church of The Nazarene, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Versailles Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
