Louise L. McCray Crick Obituary

Louise L. McCray Crick, 91, formerly of Chautauqua Colony, died at 7:44 p.m. Friday in the Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing.


She was born on May 9, 1924in Corry, Pa. the daughter of Harold and Lauretta Lillie McCray.


Louise was employed as a receptionist at the former Fairbanks Farms for thirty six years.


She was a member of the Lakewood American Legion Auxiliary Post #1286 for forty years and served as chaplain for many years. She was a long time member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church.


Louise loved vacations and traveling with friends to visit family and enjoyed many social engagements with lifelong friends, neighbors and former classmates.


She is survived by two daughters, Susan Harle, Delaware, OH and Sandra Crick, Newport News, VA., three grandchildren, Brenan Crick, Newport News, VA., Jennifer Curtin, McFarland, WI. and Michelle (Joshua) Thomas, Delaware, OH., five great grandchildren, Dacoda Freeman, Erin & Jamison Curtin, McFarland, WI., Daniel and Dusatin Crick, Virginia, two brothers, LeRoy (Betty) McCray, Jamestown and Donald McCrray, Lakewood, two sisters, Mary (Ronald) Gould, Jamestown and Lucille (Harry) Walker, Naalekui, Hi.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Crick whom she married on November 1, 1944 and who died in 1976 and by a grandson, Daniel Crick who died in 1996.


A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (July 18, 2015) in Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church.
