Obituary of Roger L. Hall

Roger L. Hall Sr., 60, of Sinclairville, lost his courageous battle with cancer on May 15, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 19, 1955 in Ithaca, NY, the youngest son of Lloyd Hall Sr. and Lois Bailey Hall. Roger was a retired truck driver for Prime Time Express of Buffalo, NY. After retirement, he continued to travel the road and visit all the sights that he possibly could. He had many other hobbies, which include fishing, bowling, camping, working on race cars with his children, watching dirt track racing, and watching Buffalo Bills games. He was a caring and loving man with a heart of gold who loved his family dearly and truly enjoyed spending time with them. He is survived by his mother, Lois Atkinson of Harford Mills, NY, his wife of 30 years Ethel Hall of Busti, NY, a sister Desiree Ferris of Hope Mills, NC, a sister in law Goldie Hall of Harford Mills, NY, an uncle Les Bailey of Killeen, TX, a daughter Sherrie Jackson of Jamestown, NY, two sons Skip Jackson of Lakewood, NY and Roger Hall Jr. of Sinclairville, NY, 20 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren that he loved and adored, and lifelong friends Bob and Vicky Norris and Doug and Donna Breth all of Sinclairville. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Hall Sr., step father Richard Atkinson of Endicott, NY, three brothers Lloyd Hall Jr. of Harford Mills, NY Vernon (Red) Hall of Groton, NY, and Bob Hall Sr. of Cortland, NY, an uncle Bernard Hall Sr. of Jamestown, an aunt Beatrice Hall of Jamestown, NY, and a cousin Nancy Cavender of Jamestown, NY. Arrangements are being handled by The Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Interment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. A non- traditional celebration of Roger’s life will take place on June 6th from 4 to 8pm at the Gerry Rodeo Banquet Hall on Rt 60 in Gerry,NY, all are welcome to attend.
