Obituary of Barbara Stewart

Barbara (Barb) Ann Raynor-Stewart, 58, of Jamestown, NY, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, peacefully in her sleep. She was born on August 19, 1966 in Jamestown, NY to her beloved mother Dorothy Fleckenstein-Miller. Barbara is survived by her four children; Lyndon Raynor, Kayla Greiner, Kyle Greiner and Casandra Stewart. Her grandchildren who have brought her immense joy; Samuel, Simon, Madison, Skyler, Aymeric, Lincoln and Carson. Her siblings Kimberly Johnston, Tina Wright, Lisa Whitwood, Steven Raynor, Richard Raynor and Tammy Decker. Barbara had many nieces and nephews, all of whom she thought about and loved. She held her close friends Lon and Frankie near to her, as well as her niece and caretaker, Gretchen, who provided her love and companionship day or night. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Dorothy Mentzel in 1993 and her mother Dorothy Fleckenstein-Miller in 2008. Barbara enjoyed watching her favorite programs, game shows and soap operas. She enjoyed being hip to celebrity gossip, loved music and the daily group facetime calls with her children. She was the life of the party, whether it be a birthday, holiday or a Bills game, her close family would flock to her habitually. Barbara loved people. Throughout her life, many rightfully claimed to be Barbara's best friend. Her sisters Tina, Kim and Lisa, her children and others she met along the way. Barbara paid attention to you with love and intent. Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home. Her burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at noon next to her mother and grandmother at Lakeview Cemetery. This will be followed by a private celebration of her life for family and friends.
