Haven’t seen Tom in quite some time. But remember his good nature and his 69 Dodge Charger. Stood up for him the first time he got married. Have lots of good memories of him. Dan & Diana Melquist

Tom was a YMCA member many years ago and was always so friendly and always took the time to stop and talk usually on his way out of the building. I worked there for 20 years and remember him fondly - as soon as I saw his picture I knew him even though I left the "Y" in 1998 and hadn't seen him since. Many sincere condolences to his family and friends - I know he will be greatly missed.

So sorry for your loss, I remember what it felt like the day my dad passed away, it was like a sword had went through my heart and a lump in my throat that would not go away, I felt mad at myself because I could not do for my dad what he had done for me all the years of my life, but deep down I knew that my dad was better off because he was no longer suffering and he was in Heaven rejoicing with family that had passed away before him. Each year that goes by we remember him by doing something special on his birthday, just to help ease the pain of him not being around. I said all that to let you know that you and your family will be in my prayers for peace and comfort during this time of loss.
sincerely,
Sabrina Honeycutt

You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he has gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
With heartfelt love and emotion, Always, Michelle

Tom was more than "the chairman" to the people of Jamestown; he was also well-known by the same nickname to people all over the area. I first met him in Randolph when he had his recliners on display in the parking lot at Twi-Lite Lanes. How could I refuse the great deal he offered me on a sofa and recliner? That deal extended to my parents who also bought a set. The minute Tom walked into a room, his presence was known with his outgoing, charming personality. Most people were drawn to him because they wanted to be near this fun-loving, sweet man that none of us will forget.

Tom would always come into McDonald's to meet his friends. He loved giving us, the workers a hard time, but in a kindhearted fun way.

Tom was a very big part of my life growing up and someone I considered to be family. I have so many memories with him that I will cherish always that I wouldn’t even know where to begin sharing. I am grateful for each one of those memories. He loved to take us for dinner and LaScala was one of those favorite places we would go. He always made me feel like I was part of the family and included me as such. I send all my love to the family. His memory will live on for a very long time to come!
