Obituary of Andrea Long

Andrea Renee Long (Stam), 39 of Jamestown NY passed away unexpectedly at home on September 10, 2024. She was born on September 27, 1984 to Sharon and Robert Stam. Andrea was a Southwestern Central High School graduate and an area resident all her life. Andrea enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie at her family camp and loved walking on the beach looking for beach glass. She cherished her daughter Everlie, who brought so much love and purpose to her life. She also loved her fur babies, her three cats: Boo boo, Fats, and Tardi B. Anyone that knew Andrea knew that you could tell when she was in the room, you could hear her before you could see her. She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and free spirit. Andrea truly had a giving nature about her and was a kind soul who deserved much more time than she was granted. She will be deeply missed by those that love her. Besides her mother, Sharon Stam of Celoron, she leaves behind her daughter Everlie Long and her husband Michael Long, both of Jamestown; two sisters Katie Stam of Jamestown and Grace (Dan) Burke of PA; two brothers, Timothy (Rosemary) Stam of Jamestown and Robert Stam, Jr. of Florida; two nieces whom she adored, Aiyanna Stam and Audryanna Chapman, both of Jamestown; one Aunt Sheila Brown (Rick) of Jamestown; two cousins who she grew up with like sisters, Erin (John) Lobb and Sara McClintock, both of Frewsburg; cousins Brandon Allen of Lakewood, and Mason and MacKenzie Lobb of Frewsburg, a father in law, Bruce (Patricia) Long, and her childhood best friend Kari Burch. Andrea was proceeded in death by her father Robert J. Stam, Grandmothers Grace Stam and Harriet Brown, an Aunt Cynthia Brown, and a Cousin Brandon McClintock. There will be a celebration of life at a later date with an announcement to follow. The family encourages you to make a donation to the Chautauqua Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd. Jamestown NY, 14701, in honor of Andrea, as they were able to take in her cats she loved dearly.
