Joann Laurie 75, of Jamestown NY, passed away after an extended illness on February 3, 2024.

She was born in Jamestown NY in 1948 to Carmella Bardo Laurie and Joseph Laurie. She attended Jamestown High School and worked at Jamestown sterling for a majority of her young adulthood.

Joann loved nothing more than her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved spending time and crafting with her friends. She was an avid bingo and scratch off ticket lover. Most of all she just loved people and would do anything she could to help and support them.

Joann was preceded in death by mother Carmella Bardo, Father Joseph Laurie, four sisters Delores Laurie Miller, Mary Jane Laurie, Providence Laurie Sharie, Jennie Laurie Hilyer, a brother James Laurie, a nephew Joseph Laurie and her daughter in law Stacy Laurie.

Joann is survived by her brother Micheal Laurie, a son Joseph Laurie, a daughter Marybeth Laurie (Larry) Starks, five granddaughters Ashley Laurie, Stephanie (Christopher) Hall, Laryssa Starks, Brooke Starks, Brittany Soles and two grandsons Steven Joseph Copeland.

Great grandchildren Austin, Keaton, Arianna, Jaxson and Hayley as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at Saint James Roman Catholic Church on Thursday February 15, 2024 at 10AM with an inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
