David Norman Bell Obituary

David (Dave) Norman Bell, 90, of Jamestown, NY passed away on January 19, 2024, at UPMC Chautauqua. Dave was born in Youngsville, PA on September 25, 1933, to Norman and Ruth Bell. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1951 and joined the U.S. Navy where he served from 1951-1954 during the Korean War Conflict.

Dave was a member of the ELKS B.P.O.E #263 where he served as exalted ruler from 1978-1979, the American Legion Post #1, the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and the Vikings.

He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Ruth Bell, a sister Joanne Cook, and a daughter Kim Loizeaux.

Dave is survived by his wife Phyllis Bell, a daughter Sharon (Martin) Kuhre of Jamestown, a granddaughter Megan (Paul) Spiesman and two great granddaughters Katelyn and Juliana Spiesman all of Hartford CT.

Dave was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and opa and will be greatly missed.

A private inurnment and celebration of life will be held in the spring.

Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua Humane Society and the James Prendergast Library.
