James Vincent Privitera (Jim) 66 of Jamestown passed away Peacefully October 15th, 2023 due to ALS
He was born April 3rd 1957 to Kathy (Steele Privitera) Jones and Frank V Privitera in Jamestown, NY.
Jim attended Jamestown public schools and was a graduate of Rafael cosmetology school.
Jim worked at Town Barber for a short time but was known as a server at AJ Texas Hots, Sambos and
Mr. Donuts.
Jim was an avid Buffalo Bills fan even attending Jim Kelly's induction into the hall of fame game. He also was a very dedicated Uncle to his nieces and nephews he spent most of the time with them making sure they had what they needed and always made sure they had the best birthdays and holidays always going to their functions never missing any until he got sick. Jim was a big fan of Cher always acting and singing her songs.
Jim is survived by his Mother Kathy (Steele Privitera) Jones, his 6 brothers and sister, Mike Rock (PA), Frank Privitera (Judy) NC, Pat Privitera (Florida), Don Privitera (Chris) PA, Ron Privitera Jamestown and
Joe Privitera (Audrey) SC, Several Nieces and Nephews, Karen, Lisa, Malisa (NC) Shane, Brian, Dakota Olmstead (PA), Angelina, Marcus, Viki (PA) Nicole, Ron, Christina, Mike (CO), Lacy (SC). Also surviving are Several Great Nieces and Nephews.
Jim was Preceded in death by his father Frank V Privitera, his stepfather Byron Jones, his Maternal Grandparents (Steele), and his
Paternal Grandparents (Privitera), his sister-in-law, Sandy Privitera and sister-in-law Theresa Privitera and Jack Moore.
Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be November 25th at the Fluvanna Ave American Legion, 364 Fluvanna Ave Jamestown, NY (2pm -5pm). A private burial will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to have donations made in honor of Jim's name to up state NY ALS website- eb.als.org or ALS association of Florida website- als.org.
