Obituary of Reverend Daniel K Anderson

Reverend Daniel K. Anderson, 75, formerly of 368 Price Street Jamestown, NY passed away on August 19, 2023. He was born on May 1, 1948, to Herbert K Anderson and Virginia Ritchie Anderson in Jamestown, NY. Dan graduated from Jamestown High School in 1969 and received his associate degree from JCC in 1971, a BA from Fredonia in 1973 and his MA from Colgate Rochester Theological Seminary in 1978. Dan was ordained in 1985. Dan was born with cerebral palsy and worked very hard to achieve his accomplishments. In previous years he worked as a Chaplin at Jamestown General Hospital and volunteered at Chautauqua County jail. He helped many by serving as a mentor, he performed wedding and funeral services and answered many calls or knocks on his door. He also had a love for animals of all kinds. Dan is survived by his sisters Patricia M. Anderson and Elizabeth R. Spitzer (David), 3 nieces Nichole E Stauffer, Janelle B Mucznski (Rick) and Sara A. Giltinan (Chris), 2 nephews David A. Spitzer (Angel), Nicholas D. Spitzer (Jill), 10 great nieces, 2 great great nieces, and many more close friends. He is predeceased by his parents and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
