Alexander M. Ditonto, 81, of Jamestown, passed away on April 28, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on November 9, 1941, the son of the late Anthony and Carmella Ditonto. Alex graduated from Jamestown High School in 1960 and attended Jamestown Community College for engineering drawing and blueprint reading. He was married to his wife Anita for 61 years. Alex retired from American Locker at the age of 63 as a mechanical engineer to care for his father and mother. He was a member of St. James parish and was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. Alex also enjoyed sitting by the lake and feeding the ducks. Alex is survived by his wife Anita, daughter Brenda (Kris), son Michael (Heather), his grandchildren Jason (Alyssa), Alyssa (Ryan), and Jordan (Laken); great grandchildren Jacob, Ryleigh, Ryder, and his sister Josephine Steele. A funeral mass will be held on Monday May 8, 2023, at 10AM at St. James RCC with an inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11AM. Flowers can be sent to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home.
