Michael K. Benish (Mick) of Jamestown, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in his home, from natural causes. He was born on December 8, 1953 in Jamestown, NY to Oliver and Roberta Benish. Mick graduated from Southwestern High School in 1972. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mick was employed at several local restaurants including the Lakewood Rod & Gun. After suffering a stroke, he started collecting and restoring antiques with his good friend J.R. Anderson. Mick had a knack for repairing many of the unique items he had collected. He was a kind, gentle and big-hearted person. Mick is survived by a twin brother, Rick of West Ellicott, a sister, Toni of West Ellicott, a sister, Sandra Sweet of Lexington, KY, a daughter, Amara Goldstein of Florida. Nieces, Kelley & Megan Benish of Florida, Courtney Reardon of Panama, NY, and nephew Kyle Benish of Jamestown. Mick was predeceased by his parents and Brother Tim. Mick had a great love for animals. Please make a donation to the Humane Society in his name or adopt a shelter pet. Arrangements entrusted to Hubert Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
