Obituary of Donald Guarnieri

Donald Guarnieri, 81 of Jamestown passed away November 1, 2022 at UPMC Chautauqua. He was born March 3, 1941 in Jamestown a son of John and Rose Munella Guarnieri. Donald was a 1958 graduate of Jamestown High School. He went on to attend Kent State University. Donald married the love of his life, Jean Vella on September 5, 1960 at St. James RCC. Donald was a self-employed contractor who also worked for Piazza Masonry. He was a communicant of St. James RCC. Donald was also active in the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club. He loved to tend to the plants in his greenhouse. He will be deeply missed. Donald is survived by his wife, Jean Vella Guarnieri, his children, John (Lucia) Guarnieri of Jamestown, NY and Marla (Timothy) Engelbrecht of Rochester, NY, his grandchildren, Jonathan (Katie) Engelbrecht of Rochester, NY, Evan (Grace)Engelbrecht of Rochester, NY, Audrey Jean Engelbrecht of North Port, FL and Francesca Rosina Guarnieri of Jamestown, NY, his great grandchildren, Patrick, Brooke and Tristan, his brother, Robert (Marie) Guarnieri of Jamestown, NY and his brother in law, Frank Vella. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Marie Guarnieri on July 7, 1994. Arrangements entrusted to Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home. In accordance with Donald’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will be held Saturday November 5, 2022 10Am at St. James RCC.
