Obituary of Joyce Vitanza

Joyce Elaine Vinton Vitanza, 89 of 142 Chautauqua Avenue, passed away at home on July 23,2022 due to a lengthy illness. She was born August 23,1932 at home in Youngsville, PA, a daughter of Lloyd Vinton and Effie Smith Vinton she was the youngest of 11. Joyce was a Registered Nurse at WCA hospital for 30+ years. She married Samuel Vitanza September 20, 1969 at the Church of the Nazarene. They were happily married for 53 years. Samuel was the love of her life. Joyce is survived by several family members. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Vitanza who passed February 3, 2022. She enjoyed doing crafts, and also liked to spend time with her family. She was loved by everyone who came in contact with her. Joyce traveled the world then some. She was very involved with her church in her younger years, until her illnesses prevented her from doing so. Visitation will be held Thursday July 28, 2022 from 1-3pm at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery Lakewood, NY.
