Obituary of Chauncey W Park Jr.

Chauncey Warren Park Jr, 84 of 9 Cliff Place Jamestown, New York passed away on June 4th, 2022, at the Heritage Green Nursing Home after a well lived life. Chauncey was born on June 23rd, 1937 to Chauncey W. Park Sr. and Florence P Sheldon in Charlotte Center New York. On December 10th 1960, Chauncey married his lifelong wife, Nancy Kay Dodd-Park whom he would spend the next 61 years with. Chauncey is survived by his wife Nancy, his daughter Barbara P. Park and his two sons Thomas D. Park Sr. and Ronald L. and Rose Park along with his grandchildren, Thomas and Rochelle Park, Joshua and Shekinah Park, Kyle Park and Elizabeth Hinkley, Jessica McCune, McKenna Park and Caitlin Park and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Naomi, Rosalie, Aubrey, Makayla and Fawkes. Chauncey is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Colburn and Ethel Colburn and his brother Frank Park. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his siblings, George Park, Alice Whitaker, Laverne Park, Robert Park and Lester Park. Chauncey was a lifetime member of the Cherry Creek fire department and never failed to help anyone in need. Growing up, Chauncey worked on a farm with dairy cows and in adulthood he drove a truck for the Unloading Corporation while also serving in the U.S. Army. Chauncey had a passion for drawing and his love and thirst for reading transcended into his ability to tell stories to each generation in the family. More than anything, Chauncey will be remembered as a man who deeply loved his family and cherished every moment that he spent with them. Chauncey's relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of his life on Friday June 10th, 2022 at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home located at 111 South Main Street, Jamestown New York 14701 from 11am -1pm. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery in Falconer New York. Chauncey's Pastor Mike Smith will officiate.
