Words can’t speak regarding the passing of 1 of my most favorite patients. I have worked for the VNA for over 30 years and was Audies nurse for several of those years. He knew that bugs and such would give me the creeps, so he often had Fear Factor on his tv- hoping to get a rise out of me- which it did. I didnt see his obituary in the paper until Saturday- a day too late to pay my respects to your family. Audie fought so hard to get better- I would often tell him that he had 9 lives. Take care of his sweet dog. She would not leave his side. He is at peace- no pain, no dialysis slowly taking his life away. He has 2 legs and is with his children and parents- no more pain. I truly loved him.

I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss. Audie was always the main person in all of my dads (Bradley) stories he would tell us about his younger days. I always loved hearing about how close they were.
