Laverne “Luddy” Ludwig, 64, of the Resource Center B4, passed away December 6, 2021. He was born July 8, 1957 to Marion Freeman-Ludwig and Laverne Wilson at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital. Luddy spent his educational years at JN Adam Developmental Center. He was admitted to Newark state school in 1960. In 1979 he moved to WNY DDSO Family Care Home of Gloria and Anthony Swives where he was able to go out an experience fun things like New York City. Luddy moved to the Resource Center home of B4 from December 15, 2006 to April 1, 2008. He then moved to Willow until April 4, 2013 and then moved back to B4. Luddy was very loved by his staff and peers. He was a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. He called his blonde staff “kitty” and other staff “babo”. He loved pop, Chicha (pizza), ice cream, and Elvis. His life long goal was to go to the Bahamas on a school bus with “Kitty”. He has many shirts to go to the Bahamas with. He will be dearly missed by his loving staff. A memorial service will be held Monday December 20, 2021 from 10:00am-11:00am at Riccardi’s Hubert Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Frewsburg, NY.
